A 4K camera is mounted on a 2-axis gimbal for stabilization, and the camera can be tilted from -90 degrees to 90 degrees. 6 powerful LED lights provide up to 10,000 lumens of light for inspection of dark, confined spaces. The lights can be individually dimmed and different light configurations can be toggled, e.g. to enhance the visibility of cracks and small surface defects.
The Scout 137 has an onboard 3D LiDAR as well as a powerful embedded computer that creates a 3D map of the environment as you fly. At the same time it works like an indoor positioning system (patent pending) with situational awareness. The drone has built in navigational aids such as a software driven anti-collision “bubble” and the ability to hold its position in 3D space without control input in GPS-denied environments. The drone is also able to keep a preset offset distance from the asset structure.
