Cloud software

Scout Portal: every finding in its place.

Storage. Presentation. Sharing. Reporting.

Scout Portal is ScoutDI’s inspection data platform — cloud software where inspection companies turn drone inspection data into delivered results. Every point of interest, UT measurement and video frame is anchored to a 3D model of the inspected asset, ready to review, annotate, share with clients, and turn into a report with one click.

What Scout Portal does

Flying the drone is step one. The inspection job happens in the Scout Portal.

Scout Portal is used together with the Scout 137 as a complete end-to-end inspection solution. Once the data is uploaded, the Scout Portal is where inspection companies analyse, present and share results with their clients.

Presentation in 3D

Every finding, shown exactly where it was found.

A SLAM engine automatically generates a 3D point-cloud model of the inspected asset from the drone's sensor data. Every point of interest, UT measurement and video frame is anchored to its exact position in that model.

One click on any finding jumps to its position in the 3D model and its timestamp in the video. Reviewers see context, not just data.

Review & annotation

The inspector's work, done in the Scout Portal.

Inspectors review each point of interest with its spatial metadata: distances to surfaces, camera pitch, and associated A-scan data for UT measurements. Pilot-flagged findings are surfaced first, making it easy to prioritise across hundreds of images.

Annotations drawn on images carry through to the report automatically. New points of interest can be generated from any frame of the 4K video — useful when a cleaner frame exists or a finding was missed during the flight.

Reporting & delivery

One click from reviewed data to finished report.

A one-click report generator produces a report containing all points of interest, metadata, image annotations and UT A-scans. Templates are customisable: add your own branding, layout and decide which metadata is included.

All data, including the processed results, can be downloaded from the Scout Portal whenever it is needed.

Secure storage

Built by ScoutDI, an ISO/IEC 27001-certified company. Inspection data is stored geo-redundantly on Microsoft Azure, with daily backups and encryption in transit and at rest. It is immediately available worldwide and easy to organise and retrieve years later.

Client sharing

Separate, fully isolated data areas per end client. External users are invited in for review. Read-only links with a set expiry can be sent to stakeholders who only need to view results.

Live streaming

Stakeholders can watch inspections in real time from anywhere in the world, giving immediate feedback and eliminating costly travel to the inspection site.

How it works

Built for real world inspections.

From the moment the drone lands to the report your client signs off, Scout Portal is built around the realities of field inspection work.

  1. 01

    Get your data in, anywhere

Scout 137 data flows straight into the Scout Portal with nothing to convert or configure. Designed for the unreliable, low-bandwidth connections of real offshore and remote sites, uploads hold up where a normal cloud tool would give up.

  2. 02

Understand the asset, not just the data

Every finding sits in a 3D model of the asset, so you can see exactly where it is and what surrounds it. Replay the inspection to put any measurement back in context, instead of reading rows in a spreadsheet.

  3. 03

    Bring the right people in

Invite clients and stakeholders into their own secure space to review results, or send them a link when that is all they need. Everyone works from the same record, wherever they are.

  4. 04

    Deliver the result

Turn reviewed findings into a finished, branded report in one click, and hand over all the underlying data whenever a client or engineering team needs it.

From the field Suncor Coke Drum baseline

“We utilized the live broadcast feature during the Coke Drum baseline inspection at Suncor, allowing multiple stakeholders to view the inspection remotely in real time.

This significantly improved collaboration and decision-making by giving remote teams immediate visibility into the process.

It’s a powerful tool for increasing transparency and engagement across sites.”

Aaron Best CIA Inspection Inc.

From the field Shell FPSO “Turritella”

“By using the Scout Portal, our civil marine structural integrity team could assess fresh data every day to ensure the inspection team onboard captured the needed data at the right quality.”
