The 8th annual ED&R Summit took place on June 10-12, 2024, at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott in Houston (TX) as always.

This time, we brought the new UTM Payload and the Gas Sensor to see up close; in the expo and live demos in the Drone Zone.
Scout 137 Drone System with UTM Payload and Gas Sensor at booth #812
The Scout 137 Drone System is a tethered drone system for safe and efficient indoor inspection, developed for no human entry / BVLOS operation. Due to its unlimited flight-time, it has long been a favored tool in the Oil & Gas-related inspection industry and rapidly finding it’s way into other markets.
The Scout 137 Drone System has several unique benefits, including:

- 3D LiDAR for location-tagged inspection data and real-time spatial awareness, enabling BVLOS operation
- Cloud-based data management in the Scout Portal, inspection replay and live streaming via the Scout Portal.

Live demos in the Drone Zone
As always, we exhibited at booth #812, right opposite the Drone Zone. This gave visitors the opportunity to come by and have an informed drone inspection chat with our staff at the booth, and watch a live performance with the Scout 137 Drone System during the same visit.

The demoed Scout 137 system was equipped with the optional UTM Payload, which was released that winter and created lots of interest, as well as the new Gas Sensor.
Partner webinar with MEASUR
Alongside the event, our Canada Partner MEASUR organized a webinar on 26 June, 08:30AM, MDT, which served as a follow-up session for ED&R Summit booth visitors.
In this webinar, ScoutDI and MEASUR explained how the Scout 137 Drone System leverages UTM payloads to enhance safety and efficiency during inspections in confined spaces.
