Organized by NISTM, the event took place April 3-5 2024 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Florida. We were there with a full Scout 137 Drone System including the new UTM Payload, and serious tank inspection in mind. We also offered LIVE drone inspection demos.

Scout 137 Drone System with UTM Payload
The new UTM Payload is a highly requested extension to our confined-space drone inspection system that has created lots of interest. Ever since its first announcement in November 2022, requests have been rolling in about its features and specifications.
UTM Payload is now on the market! We’re taking orders and have already delivered to customers.
The UTM Payload turns the Scout 137 Drone System into an excellent multimodal inspection data solution – all the way from acquiring the data using the Scout 137 Drone, to visualizing, analyzing and sharing it with your colleagues or 3rd party stakeholders via the Scout Portal.
With the UTM Payload, the Scout 137 Drone can collect 4K video, photos, and Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements. With the same drone, in the same flight.
Unlimited flight time and BVLOS support provides the low-stress condition needed when performing contact operations with a flying drone.

The UTM Payload is well integrated with the Scout 137 Drone System. The Scout App provides the feedback and controls you need to get close and get contact on the right spot. Hit the “freeze” button to evaluate the live A-scan before saving the measurement.
UTM probe head angle can be adjusted live while in the air, so you can get a lot of work done before a couplant gel refill is due.

Live demos in the Orlando area
In addition to stand 122 at the NISTM event, we offered live private demos of the Scout 137 and the UTM Payload to interested parties.
A live demo is a special opportunity to see the Scout 137 Drone System in action, up close, and even fly the system yourself. You get a sense of the overview and confidence related to operating a sensor-stabilized drone system with real-time situational awareness and unlimited flight time.
